Sabrina Shannon died from Anaphylaxis after her french fries were cross contaminated. She was only 14 years old. Her story is very similar to Emily’s in that it was cross contamination and she was confused by the asthma like symptoms.
After her death, her mother Sara (amazing person), worked to have a law passed that would protect other allergy kids at school.
A documentary was made… which we participated on when we visited Pittsburgh in 2006.
