Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry to read about what happened to Emily, but so thankful that you are allowing others to share in your life and experiences. While searching to find some info to use in our upcoming golf tournament, I bumped into your site. Divine Intervention?!!?

My 5 yr old son, Ethan, has life threatening allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, & soy. He also has Asthma, eczema and sensory issues. We have had many accidental exposures, trips to the ER and hospital stays... mostly because of people that just do not understand food allergies. We are currently fundraising to get our son a nut detecting service dog. If you would like to see Ethan's video, you can view it at www.ethansangel.org.

Thank you again for sharing your life.

oh, how exciting!

NY is the only state that checks their imported foods for FALCPA compliance, also. Which is crucial!

Paul,
Your postings about Guardasil have reinforced my decision not have my daughter undergo this vaccine. I just did not feel comfortable with it, and fortunately did not receive any pressure from her pediatric group. After reading the info from the links on this site I am glad that I made this choice.
Thanks so much,
Karen

I would love to share my experience with Red Robin! I have recently discovered that they, too, take food allergies very seriously. The past few times I have been there, I have discovered that all I need to say is that we have food allergies, and the waiter/waitress is notified before they even come to our table. They know exactly what I am talking about when I say things like, "the allergens cannot event touch our food," and they GET IT! The specified food is even brought out by a special cook who explains to me that the food was prepared in a special place in the kitchen that is saved for food allergy food! It is about time :)

Morgellons is a skin disorder that was first described more than 300 years ago. The disease is characterized by fiber-like strands extruding from the skin in conjunction with various dermatologic and neuropsychiatric symptoms.
Keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Emily will live on forever. I am the mother of an 8 year old anaphylactic peanut allergic boy named Dylan. We have daily issues keeping him safe whether it be at school, restaurant or kiddie parties. Maybe one day other parents who do not have a child with a food allergy will understand and sympathize with us on how hard it is to keep our children safe. Emily is in heaven and we now have another angel. God bless you with prayer& strength.

I am so sorry about your daughter! She sounds like an amazing girl with an amazing family! I just found your website and I too have a child with nut allergy. We have made it to 8th grade but every day is a worry and a battle. We have had hateful people tell us that we are in the wrong advocating for our child to be in a nut free environment, we have lost "friends" because they felt they had the right to bring nut cookies to our daughter's classroom, our daughter has been told by a friend that they can't be friends anymore because the "friend" might kill her:( We work with the allergist to get on lists to help find a cures and we are so thankful for each and every day we have her and don't have an incident! Thank you for your site and helping us all come together and work towards a solution for this!
